Vw Golf Driver Door Wont Lock

Problem progressed to display saying driver s door open and leaving the dome light on and display with the drivers door icon lit up.

Locks work from the switch but not the remote. If i lock then car using key fob and open the door the alarm goes off. Key inserted into door would work. The light on the door switch no longer lights up.

The filler cap release button in the cockpit doesn t work either. Some other details passenger door can be opened with the door handle just fine the door lock switch seems to work fine as it will lock the other 3 doors. If your early to mid 200 s audi or vw is gabbing problems with either side door electrical locks windows or anything electrical start by looking here. There is life in the battery in the key fob.
